March 04/08: Guests of the upcoming CPT Racing Experience will have the chance to win tickets to the July 18-20 International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) NITRO JAM National Event at Grand Bend Motorplex. Five pairs of tickets will be given away at the event.

The 9th Annual Mopar Canadian Nationals serves as one of the largest outdoor spectator events in Southwestern Ontario each year, with last year’s crowd topping 40,000 over the three days of the event.

“We are happy to have the IHRA on board with our show,” said Jory Elliot of the CPT Racing Experience. “They have shown great commitment in bringing professional drag racing to Canadian venues for Canadian fans and this is just another way that they have chosen to show their continued support towards growing the drag racing industry in this country.”

The Mopar Canadian Nationals showcases competitors from across the United States and Canada who converge on Grand Bend each summer to compete in a number of professional and sportsman classes. At the event, fans will enjoy the high speed and thrills of Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars, which cover the quarter-mile racing surface in under 5 seconds at over 300 miles per hour. NITRO JAM also features the wild and sometimes unpredictable Pro Modified and Pro Stock divisions, which resemble production cars but cover the quarter-mile in a little over 6 seconds at over 220 miles per hour.

Each pair of tickets up for grabs includes an all access day pass to the event which allows each spectator the opportunity to get up close and personal with the drivers and their race cars in the pit-area.

“You will never see another motorsports spectacle that compares to the awesome power these cars produce and the accessibility you get as a fan at one of these events,” stated Elliott. “Drag racing is a one-of-a-kind sport that is best appreciated live.”
