February 27/08: Race fans attending the upcoming CPT Racing Experience will have a good chance of coming away with a little something extra. A variety of race tracks, sponsors and suppliers have enthusiastically jumped on board to extend the “experience” beyond the event at the London Convention Centre and well into the racing season.
 
“We’re grateful for everyone who’s chipped in,” said Kevin Bulmer of CPT Entertainment Inc. “The key part of this event is to gather and celebrate all the great people and places in motorsports in this area, and the best way to really get an idea of how much fun it can be is to actually go to the tracks.”
 
A wide variety of racing is represented in the prizes being offered to guests of the CPT Racing Experience. Among the current prizes available are:
 
- Reserved-seat tickets to see the World of Outlaws show at Ohsweken Speedway in July and the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals in September.
 
- Reserved-seat weekend passes to Delaware Speedway’s annual “Great Canadian Race Weekend,” featuring the APC 300 (Labour Day Weekend) and general admission passes to weekly events at Delaware.
 
- Tickets to the Parts Canada Superbike Weekend in July at Mosport International Raceway.
 
- Special Event passes to the Grand Bend Motorplex.
 
- Family passes to Merrittville Speedway.
 
Earlier, CPT Entertainment announced it will be offering tickets to the Pennsylvania 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Pocono Raceway in August.
 
A number of other prizes are also being offered, including gift certificates to PartSource; pit crew gloves from Mechanix Wear; gift certificates from the Keg, Johnny-Ray’s Tattoo Company and the Trailer Hitch Centre; shirts from Kendall Motor Oil and Case ‘N Drum Oil; Doo Rags from “Hats on Heads” and much more on the way.
 
Prizes will be awarded in a number of ways, such as hourly draws and incentive to participate in the various interactive stations around the show floor.
